Confessions of a Psychotic Housewife is my attempt at putting all of my anecdotal knowledge and resources into a single, online platform. I’ve been a full-time housewife for more than ten years, and I’ve picked up a few tips and tricks along the way. This is an effort to put that knowledge back into the world—and onto your screens.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. Psychotic? Housewife? Yes, I know, the terminology is pretty antiquated. But you know what? Being a housewife is a damn difficult job, and not many people can do it well. I’m proud to say that I’m a housewife. As for the psychotic part, if you’ve spent more than a weekend straight trying to manage a home, you’ll know what I mean. It can drive you crazy.
This site will house everything us housewives have to contend with in day-to-day activities. Sure, there will be the occasional cooking, cleaning, and kids posts, but a lot of my knowledge stems from my professional background as a life and financial adviser. Want to learn how to balance a checkbook? You’re in the right place. Not sure how to handle your mortgage? I got you, girl.
Finally, Confessions of a Psychotic Housewife is a venting tool. When you’ve been managing every aspect of a home for more than a decade, certain things just bug you. While these ranting posts might seem like a chore to read, trust me—there’s always a kernel of truth and a piece of advice.
So, there you have it. One-part mom blog, one-part financial development, one-part raging at the stupidity of others. What more could you ask for?
